To date, he has been involved in over 200 transactions with an aggregate consideration over $600,000,000. He owns and operates several commercial properties across Central Brooklyn and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Bedford-Stuyvesant Gateway Business Improvement District (BID).

   Director Special Projects,    Beginning with Children Foundation    Sonia Ortiz-Gulardo is the Director of Special Projects for the Beginning with Children Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the Founding Principal of Beginning with Children Charter School. As the founding principal, she developed the school from a kindergarten first grade to a kindergarten 8th grade school serving 450 students. She was Assistant Director of the Mayor's Office of Early Childhood Education with the mission of providing a pre kindergarten program for every four year old in New York City. Ms. Gulardo was also the Director of the Multifunctional Resource Center Project in the Institute for Urban and Minority Education at Teacher College, Columbia University.

  Deputy Executive Director Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow   Marjorie D. Parker has over 17 years professional experience providing oversight of adult and youth services initiatives, as well as working as an organizational consultant. In her previous positions at the Research Foundation CUNY/City of New York Human Resources Administration (HRA), Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), and The Valley, Inc., she managed the successful development and administration of various educational, employment, economic, and community service initiatives.

Jeff Littell

 Jeff Littell is an Real Estate Investment Analyst with the NNN Pro Group at Marcus & Millichap.  After attending Saint Anthony's High School in South Huntington, New York he graduated from Fairfield University, where he was a distinguished member of the Fairfield Men's Rugby Football Club.  Jeff has previously held positions in the financial industry, ranging from Portoflio Management to trade execution.  Jeff is passionate about social equality and utilizing technology to create opportunities.  He currently resides in New York, New York.

 Tina Summerlin has been working in arts administration in New York City for over 30 years. Soon after moving to NY in 1982, she worked for the photographers Annie Leibovitz and then Robert Mapplethorpe, and afterwards became the Executive Director of the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. For the last 20 years, she has worked with the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, an artist residency program in Italy, running their NY office.

Melvin Madera

 Melvin Madera has been in the banking industry for over ten years.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Tech in Aviation Management and holds a Commercial Pilot Certification .  He currently is the Vice President, Territory Sales Manager at Valley National Bank overseeing the Gramercy territory in Manhattan.  Melvin was born and raised in the Bed-Stuy Community and is passionate in Reconnect’s mission.

Ryan Xue

 Ryan Xue is a graduate of Cornell University where he majored in Policy Analysis and Management. Ryan works with Father Jim to develop and launch Reconnect's businesses. He also spends his free time volunteering at the café and mentoring Reconnect's Young Partners in web development and entrepreneurship.  He built the current version of Reconnect's website.

Karen Cavanaugh

 Sister Karen Cavanagh, CSJ is a Sister of St Joseph of Brentwood, NY. She holds an MS in Education and an MA in Religion and Family Ministry. As a Sister of St Joseph she has been a teacher, administrator, Campus Minister and Family minister in Brooklyn for 50 years. She is also an advocate for incarcerated women and men as well as a member of the Providence House Core Communities for women and children who are homeless and/or in transition from incarceration. Reconnect is a program very close to her heart.
